Not all vanities can fit the same location. It comes down to measurements and the different designs of the products: where the waste outlet sits, where the water connections enter, bowl position, benchtop overhang, door and drawer clearances. A vanity that's "the same size" on paper can still clash with your plumbing set-out. So we measure carefully before anything is ordered:

A lot of the time, they'd been misinformed, so we could provide exactly what they were after. Do I need a plumber to replace a vanity?
Yes: a vanity swap involves disconnecting and reconnecting water supply and waste, and often relocating them slightly to suit the new unit. Doing it without a licensed plumber risks leaks inside a cabinet where they go unnoticed until the damage is done.
Can I get a vanity to fit an awkward space?
Almost always. Beyond the wide range of pre-made sizes, we can arrange custom-made vanities built to your exact space and needs. Clients are often told 'that won't fit', but much of the time they've been misinformed, and careful measurement finds a way.
Can the new vanity go in the same position?
Usually yes, and it's the most economical option: we carefully remove the old vanity and install the new one to suit the same layout, matched to the existing connections. Moving the vanity elsewhere is possible too; it just adds pipework.
How long does a vanity replacement take?
A straightforward like-for-like swap is typically done within a day, including removal, any connection adjustments, sealing and testing.
What's better: wall-hung or floor-standing?
Wall-hung looks lighter and makes floor cleaning easy but needs solid wall fixing and concealed plumbing; floor-standing offers more storage and simpler installation. Both work well when measured and installed correctly. We'll advise for your bathroom and budget.
