No. Toilets must match your 'set-out': the distance from the wall to the waste outlet, plus the water inlet position. Buy on looks alone and there's a fair chance it won't fit. We measure first, tell you which suites suit your set-out, and install the one you choose properly.

Most matched replacements are finished in a couple of hours. If your toilet is leaking or running rather than broken, replacement isn't automatically the answer: quality valve repairs cost far less, and we do them every week.

What is a toilet set-out and why does it matter?
It's the position of your waste outlet relative to the wall (and whether the waste exits through the floor, known as an S-trap, or the wall, known as a P-trap). New toilets are designed around specific set-out ranges. Matching it means a clean, sealed installation; ignoring it means gaps, botched offsets or a toilet that simply can't connect.
When should a toilet be replaced rather than repaired?
Cracked pans and cisterns are automatic replacements. For running or leaking toilets, repairs with quality valves usually win on cost, unless the suite is old enough that parts are scarce or it's an inefficient old single-flush. We'll give you the honest maths either way.
Are new toilets really more water-efficient?
Substantially. Modern 4-star dual-flush suites use a fraction of what older full-flush cisterns pour through, and a leaking old toilet can waste more again. If yours predates dual-flush, replacement pays a dividend on every water bill.
How long does a toilet replacement take?
A matched like-for-like replacement is usually done in a couple of hours, including removal of the old suite, installation, sealing and testing.
Can you install a toilet where there isn't one now?
Often yes: it depends on where drainage runs and the falls achievable. It's bigger than a swap, but as with all bathroom work, be wary of a flat 'can't be done', since measurement and drainage assessment give the real answer.
