Confirm
We isolate the gas service and pressure-test it. A pressure drop confirms a leak and indicates its severity.
Locate
Using gas detection equipment, we trace the service (lines, joints, valves, appliance connections) until the leak is pinpointed. Leaks hide in old fittings, corroded pipe runs, and past work done with materials that were never gas-compatible.
Repair
The faulty section, fitting or appliance connection is repaired or replaced with materials suited to gas service, which are different from water plumbing materials, and matched to your fuel (natural gas and LPG run at different flows and pressures).
Verify
The full system is re-tested before we restore supply and relight appliances, including pilot lights.

What are the signs of a gas leak?
The three classics: a gas smell around your home, a hissing noise from the gas service or near an appliance, and a gas bill higher than usual with no change in how you use gas. Any one of them justifies professional investigation, and together, they're near-certain.
Why does my gas bill keep rising if nothing changed?
A slow leak burns money continuously, because gas escaping between the meter and your appliances is metered like gas you used. If your bill has crept up with no new appliances or usage change, a leak test is the first thing to rule out.
How do you find a gas leak?
We isolate and pressure-test the gas service to confirm a leak exists and how big it is, then trace it with gas detection equipment along the lines, joints, valves and appliances until it's located. Then we repair the fault and re-test the whole system before restoring supply.
Is a small gas smell ever normal?
A brief whiff when igniting a cooktop burner can be normal. A persistent or recurring smell is not, since gas is odourised specifically so leaks announce themselves. Persistent smell = investigation, every time.
Can a gas leak cause carbon monoxide poisoning?
They're related but different hazards: a leak is unburnt gas escaping (fire and explosion risk), while carbon monoxide comes from appliances burning incorrectly. Both trace back to installation and maintenance quality, and both are reasons this is licensed work.
